SMS to Email
SMS to Email Exampleβ
Once enabled each SMS will trigger a an email to the selected address. An example email is shown below:

By design the email will spoof the sender address and use your subscriber and external user information from Focus, as a result this will likely get stuck in any spam filters you may have setup. Please ensure you whitelist the IP address and or sending email address to enable delivery of the emails.
The email will contain the following structure:
- O2 MR SMS from - Static text
- The from number
- The to number
- The UTC timestamp of the SMS
- The address the email is sent from
- If this phone number is linked to a person (subscriber or external) that persons email address will be used as the From (as per this example).
- If this phone number is not linked to a person the phone number will be used with @sms.domain.invalid as the email
- The address the email is sent to
- If this phone number is linked to a person (subscriber or external) that persons email address will be used as the From.
- If this phone number is not linked to a person the phone number will be used with @sms.domain.invalid as the email (as per this example).
- The content of the SMS
- Firstly the date and time
- secondly the from number again with the name (if linked)
- The actual contact of the message
In addition to the content of the email the following headers are also added:
- X-O2MR-Interaction-ID - A unique ID for the SMS
- X-O2MR-SMS-SUBSCRIBER - The Subscribers phone number (this enables the system to work out the direction of the SMS)
- X-O2MR-SMS-FROM - The number sent from
- X-O2MR-SMS-TO - The number sent to
